Job Purpose

  • Maintains and performs allocation, mass balance and data reconciliation processes and models for the production and inventory owned by all Ras Laffan producers for whom the Company operates production, loading and storage facilities.

Key Job Accountabilities - I

  • Performs Hydrocarbon Allocation process for the assigned assets in accordance with all relevant Company Ventures agreements such as Development and Fiscal Agreement (DFA) and Shared facilities agreements such as Joint Facilities Agreement (JFA) and Project Management and Services Agreement (PMSA).

  • Apply and maintain production allocation principles, methodology, rules, models, procedures, and philosophy for the assigned assets (within CFs or Ventures) to ensure proper mass balance, reconciliation (CFs only), product allocation, profit centre allocation and royalty calculation.

  • Run and maintain the mass balance and data reconciliation programs that are used to perform the daily mass and energy balance and data reconciliation (as applicable).

  • Analyse results and identifies mismeasurements of error to document and follow up with relevant Qatargas supporting departments for the resolution thereof as well as providing them stewardship support on measurement performance.

  • Determine the reconciled production and loss quantities for all the assets to produce the monthly hydrocarbon allocation reports including reporting of royalty volumes for the QG ventures per the numerous categories required by the governing agreements.

Key Job Accountabilities - II

  • Maintain the Hydrocarbon Accounting System related to production allocation that is used to perform daily and monthly production allocation.

  • Submit timely and accurate reporting of official production numbers to various internal and external customers.

  • Validate the Mass Balance and Data Reconciliation (CFs), Allocation Model, and reporting activities of the team, to ensure segregation of duty.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.

Knowledge and/or Experience - I

  • 6 years’ experience with at least 3 years in the LNG, oil and gas or petrochemicals industries within an organization in the areas of measurement, allocation, operations, planning, scheduling, commercial, processing or engineering.

  • Experience of mass-balancing, reconciliation and allocation techniques/tools.

  • Experience of commercial and financial agreements.
