Job Purpose
-
Develop feasibility studies and perform engineering studies for initiated changes through Management of Change process for safe and reliable operation of QG facilities.
Job Context & Major Challenge(s)
-
Operates in technical environment (Engineering Studies Section) under Engineering & Project Group, with interface with multiple internal and external stakeholders.

Develop Techno-Economic feasibility reports for Management of Change and multi-disciplinary Engineering Studies for brownfield opportunities/modifications as well as new projects without jeopardizing quality and/or safety.

Prepare Gate-1 and Gate-2 deliverables as per the requirements of Qatargas Project Management Systems (QGPMS), resulting in safe and reliable facilities.
Key Job Accountabilities - I
-
Prepare techno-economic feasibility reports for high level and complex Management of Change and multi-disciplinary Engineering Studies (Directive/Regulatory/Financial/Reliability/ SHE/Opportunity) for continuous-improvement of Plant Operations for all QG Assets, utilizing the Best Engineering Practices and International Standards either in-house or through external contractors/consultants.

Perform Economic/Financial Evaluation of all Feasibility Studies and Opportunities through plan projects and make investment decisions (PPMID) model.

Develop Gate Packages as per Qatargas Project Management Systems (QGPMS).

Provide engineering support and develop work packs to maintenance executed modifications. Support shutdown/inspection/QA/QC during shutdowns for resolution discovery jobs /complex plant issues.

Provide Management of Change/Studies related technical support to all company Assets (Operations) identifying the timely solution to ensure Asset Integrity and Reliability sustaining Safe and Continuous Plant Environment.
Key Job Accountabilities - II

Provide engineering Inputs throughout Project Life Cycle (Pre-FEED/FEED) ensuring quality and flawless execution.

Active participation in Safety Workshops, Cold Eye Reviews and Value Improvement Workshops. Steward /participate Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA), scenario based risk assessments (SBRAs), risk screening and Formal Risk Assessment (FRA).

Review & validate all engineering documents (Drawings/Data Sheets/Philosophies/ Project Specifications etc.) produced by vendors, contractors and consultants.

Perform all engineering activities and develop all deliverables using engineering tools (engineering software) under Section Roles & Responsibilities.

Contribute developing and implementing department policies, procedures and controls covering all areas of Process Engineering and Optimization Business line activities. Mentor NDPs and cascade knowledge & information to develop them.
Qualifications
-
Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Knowledge and/or Experience
-
8 years’ experience in an oil and gas environment.
